His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor will be officially opening the Festival at approx. 6:30pm on Thursday 9th April by pulling the first pint of ‘Joeys’ and handing it to Dave Molyneux, 17 times TT winner, as the representative from the Joey Dunlop Foundation. Pints will also be served to racers Chris McGahan, 4 times Manx GP winner, and his sidecar driver Nigel Smith who very kindly will be displaying their sidecar unit in the Royal Hall during the Festival. This sidecar unit is sponsored by three breweries – Castle Rock and Hooded Ram and Bushy’s (the last two are Manx) – with sponsor monies going directly to Breakthrough Breast Cancer Isle of Man
After the Festival, Joeys (brewed by Bushy’s) will be on general sale with 10p from every pint going to the Joey Dunlop Foundation.
If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, don’t forget there are still plenty available for each session on the door.
